The Gold Rush
Clayton Equipment recently successfully delivered and commissioned three locomotives for the Peruvian gold mining company Marsa. The client needed the equipment to be deployed on site in a very short period of time which necessitated an accelerated build programme to meet the required delivery.
The order was placed and delivered in a period of just 16 weeks and was comprised of three 3.5 tonne battery locomotives and associated equipment. These 80 volt, 14hp locomotives were commissioned at site by Clayton Equipment engineers and put straight to work.
The equipment was designed and rated to operate at rarefied altitudes, as the mine operations are based high in the Peruvian Andes, typically above 4500 metres.
The photographs show members of the operational staff, having completed maintenance and operator training.
