Steeple Grange Light Railway
Clayton Equipment were delighted to welcome a visit from over 20 members of the Steeple Grange Light Railway on 7th February, 2014.
Established in 1985, the Steeple Grange Light Railway is an 18-inch gauge line, located near Wirksworth in Derbyshire. It is built on the trackbed of a branch of the old Cromford and High Peak Railway, which is now known as the High Peak Trail. Motive power is provided by ex-industrial diesel, battery-electric and petrol locomotives, and passengers are carried in an old National Coal Board manrider.
The railway operate Clayton locomotives and were invited to our factory to see how our products have developed over the years.
