WE ARE RECRUITING – Mechanical Fitter

General

To be part of a small team of multi-skilled fitters, building assemblies, locomotives and related products for the mainline, industrial, mining and tunnelling industries.

Products ranging from 2 tonne to 135 tonne, powered by Diesel, electric, battery or hybrid technologies. Privately owned company, established over 90 years, is the leading UK supplier with a full order book and significant growth expectations.

Close working with all employees, including the Directors, Engineers and support personnel.

Essential

-Minimum of 5 years’ experience

-Capable of reading engineering drawings

-Working to a wide range of tolerances

-Use a wide selection of hand and power tools

-Used to operating lifting equipment

-Capable of building hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including pipe bending

-Support other disciplines as required, such as electrical installations

-Must be willing to occasionally work away on site as required

Hours and holidays

37 hours/week

Mon to Thurs – 7.30 – 16.00

Fri – 7.30 – 12.30

25 days + 8 statutory holidays
