National Apprenticeship Week 2023 – We are celebrating how the positive impact of apprenticeships can help individuals to develop the skills and knowledge required for a rewarding career and business to develop a talented workforce that is equipped with future – ready skills.

Christian Kitchen is undertaking a Level 3 Engineering Technician Apprenticeship here with us at Clayton Equipment whilst studying at South Staffordshire College.

Not only has recruiting an apprentice supported our business growth, but it has also allowed us to support a generation of younger workers within a climate of growing unemployment.

Christian commented – “I am very grateful for the opportunity skills. unities and support provided to me from all colleagues at Clayton Equipment since I joined as an apprentice in September 2021. It’s the best decision I could have made, I have gained widespread skills specific to locomotives manufacturing and other general skills which will help in my future career. Being an apprentice is a great way to start a career and I would encourage those considering one to take up a unique opportunity to earn and learn while in a rewarding environment”.
